Because of violence, some profanity and nudity this film is rated R (restricted)

In 1978 John Carpenter spent less than $400,000 to make this classic horror film about Michael Myers, a disturbed young boy who, after killing his sister, gets sent to a mental institution only to escape 15 years later to go on a murdurous rampage in the quaint little town of Haddonfield where he grew up. This time, there is Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis in her film debut), Annie and Lynda, three average teenagers in High School in Haddonfield who have an unlucky halloween.

When Michael does come back to Haddonfield it happens to be on halloween. Michael’s doctor, Dr. Sam Loomis (Donald Pleasence) knows Myers is coming back and goes out to stop him before he can do too much damage.

John Carpenter as I mentioned, spent a little less than $400, 000 to make this film. His use of cinematography is often overlooked by critics, but I saw it. The camera angles are all perfect, the shots, the lighting, every aspect of it was great.

The film is deamed the most sucessful independent motion picture of all time. And belive me, it deserves it.

Out of 5 I give HALLOWEEN… 4 ¾ Yes it’s that good. One of the best horror, if not best films ever made.
